Over at the Paper Issues blog, they are running a "Save Thanskgiving" challenge. Lamenting that stores seem to forget Thanksgiving, putting out Christmas decorations at Halloween, they decided that Thanksgiving needed its due. So true! I love fall....love the colors, love pumpkins, turkeys, leaves... all the things that go with fall. Dennis and I love having our family gathered at our house for Thanksgiving lunch. We're busy cleaning this weekend and getting out the Thanksgiving china. I finally designed my Thanksgiving placecards today.
That cute kraft doily is die cut with one of Papertrey Ink's new dies. To finish it off, I added a vintage button, some striped ribbon and glittered some little leaves with MS Fire Opal glitter.
Love, love that color glitter! I can see from my picture, I need to clean up my glitter a little! Since we are heading into Thanksgiving week, I want to wish you and yours a Happy Thanksgiving!

This is such a perfect Thanksgiving card Lori! Ira
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! It's THE perfect Thanksgiving card. It's a shame how merchants go right from Halloween to Christmas over looking Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Lori! I so totally agree...I love Thanksgiving and hate it that the stores start with the Christmas advertising so early.
ReplyDeleteOH the vintage YUMMINESS of your place card!! Have a very HAPPY Thanksgiving gathering!!
